How English Language Influences Indonesia as The Third World Country

Language is a tool that is essential for communication, verbal, and written. Without language, we won't be able to deliver message that we want to share with others. Different countries have different language as well. In order to be understood by all of the people in a country, the language must be universal. There should be unifying language that can be understood by everyone in a country. English is an international language that is used today. English plays an important role in this era, especially in the Third World Countries, such as Indonesia. English language influences the Third World Country can be explained in three ways.

First, Indonesian citizens are getting cleverer. The extensive use of English Languages makes Indonesian citizens, like it or not, have to learn it. It is proved from the use of english in gadgets nowadays. Many people from children to adults are enjoying entertainments that inevitably force them to understand english. By learning english, citizens will receive more knowledge that they haven't known before and of course they will be cleverer. It even have become a necessity for Indonesian citizens to learn Englisih. It is proved from many curriculum systems in many universities that use english as an introductory language. However, Indonesia as one of the part from the Third World Countries should learn from developed countries in case of education so that the Engllish learning program can be supported. One of th best way is learning from their books. Many learning resources from developed countries can be use as reference to improve our english skill so that Indonesian citizens can have more skills in english and getting cleverer day by day.

The second influence is getting more extensive job opportunities. By understanding english verbal and written, we will get more oportunities to be accepted in some job recruitment. Why? The answer is simple, because most of professional companies prefer to hire employee who have the language skill, especially english. Beside the good personalities, educational background, communication skill, and the other criterias, language skill takes the important part for those who are seeking for a job. Those who have the qualification are believed will develop the company. There are even some companies that give a test to identify the english score of their applicant. Moreover, employees who didn't have the english skill are given special training class to enrich their language skill. If we already have the english skill and we can get the job we are looking for, then we will earn the higher salary automatically. For example, there are two applicants in a company who are looking for a job. The first person is only have capability in Indonesian language and looking for a job which the position is involved in international relation. Besides, the second person have good capability in english and looking for a job as financial consultant. Do you think which one will be hired? The second is the one who meet the qualification. This person even have the opportunity to reach the higher level of position. Actually, the second person would be more suitable if he/she apply for the position involved in the international relation because the language skill will be more useful. However, if he/she is in the position of financial consultant, the scope will be extensive and the salary will be in a higher rate. That's why english can give us advantages in seeking a job with fantastic salary.

The third influense is Indonesia can give impact and contributions to the world. I can say that this is the most important influence because from learning and understanding english, Indonesia can take part in the world organization. For example, Indonesia can contribute in the United Nations organization. It can't happen if our citizens that deputizes in that organization don't have ability to speak english. Furthermore, it received appreciation from the government of the United States. They emphasized that Indonesia's role and contributions always become part of the solution to the global problem through diplomatic ways. In addition, America also praised Indonesia's important role in creating stable and peaceful region in Asia Pacific. As we can see, there are various achievement and praises from other countries for Indonesia. It is one example of Indonesian contribution in politics. There are still many sector that Indonesia can introduce itself to other countries. The one that we can imply is Indonesia will not be known worldwide without learning english as an international language.

In brief, english has at least three influences in The Third World Country, Indonesia. They are Indonesian citizens are getting cleverer, citizens getting more extensive job opportunities, and Indonesia can give impact and contribution to the world. Those three things are very important and by considering english as the universal and international language seriously, we can get many advantages in order to develop our beloved country, Indonesia.

My Banana Creation

Lucu banget monyetnya ><
Lagi santai..
Transportasi ramah lingkungan :)

Nah, bagaimana pendapat kalian? Unik bukan? Hahaha :D

MATURITY

What's on your mind when you hear a word 'maturity'? People in average will say that maturity is owned by old people such as parents, teachers, or teenagers who are the age above 17. They say that because they didn't think first that there are differences between becoming mature or just getting older. For me, maturity does not automatically happened by the person. It depends on the people's mindset. So, my own definition of maturity is the ability to control anger and settle differences without violation or distruction, perseverance, sweating out a project in spite of opposition and discouraging setbacks.

The first definition of maturity is the ability to control anger and settle differences without violation or destruction. What does it mean? The word 'control anger' has a deep meaning. The one that I can tell is people should control their emotions in every way. For example, as a student in my class, I always have different way of thinking, especially in solving some questions about Mathematics. When the teacher told us the way to solve the question, I have different opinion from him and I think he got the false answer in solving it. Then, I told about my opinion to my friend and she thought the same as me. After that I asked my friend to discuss it with our teacher personally. Finally, we got the problem solving without violation or destruction. That's a simple example from my experience. You can control your emotion when you got different opinions with other people.

The second definition of maturity is the ability to sweat out a project. The words 'sweating out' has the same meaning with the words 'go on'. No matter how hard the situation is, you must persevere. You must struggle in this life to reach your goal. People in average usually give up when they have set backs in accomplishing a mission. It's a bad habit. You must keep going on eventhough there are many oppositions. It's important because if you have already reached your goal, you will be in your paroxysm of joy.

In short, maturity is an important thing in our life. Maturity is the ability to control anger and settle differences without violation or destruction; maturity is also perseverance, sweating out a project in spite of opposition and discouraging setback. Well, I think that's all about my own definition of maturity. I hope it can give many adventages to people who read it. :')

INSTANT NOT ALWAYS BAD

Mamofuku Ando is a Japanese born in Taiwan in 1911. Orphaned at three years old, Ando had to help his grandmother to make a living. Not only did he help run the shop, he also had to cook for himself and his grandmother. And you know what? For a child of his age, he was really a good cook!
In 1956, Japan was suffering from a food crisis and received a donation of an abundance of wheat from the American government. People were encouraged to consume bread instead of rice. Since an increasing number of people in his neighborhood ate noodles made of rice, it crossed Ando's mind to create noodles made of wheat instead. He believed this product would become very popular since most Japanese are passionate about noodles. He decided to make an unusual kind of noodles: not only yummy, but also easy and quick to serve and available everywhere.
He proceeded to experiment with this novel product in his own home: the process is for sure much different from the making of ordinary noodles. The result? His noodles were sold out on the very first day they were introduced in a supermarket. And to make a long story short, this kind of noodles has been in great demand ever since.
Do you know what noodles I'm talking about? It's instant noodles!

food that people now can't do without, especially in time of emergency or disaster: earthquake, tsunami, flood, etc. Don't you think it's more practical to donate instant noodles than rice to the victims of a disaster, because they have a longer shelf life and are quick to serve?
Well, that's a very brief story about how instant noodles came into being =)
